SalsaOlé’s
first dance team – Georges, Zuzka, Luc,
Julie-Anne, Chris, Carolina, Raja and Marie-Josée
– was formed in January 2008. This team
performed a choreography set to Hector Lavoe’s
“Mi Gente” at several events in
Ottawa and Gatineau, as well as the Festival
Salsa de Québec in September 2008.
The
members benefited from extensive dance training
designed to improve both their solo and partnering
skills, and to develop their creativity and
stage presence. Two members of this dance team
are now part of the 2009 semi-pro team.
